Class Profile: Fly Yoga®

Your yoga practice can take flight with Fly Yoga®, a unique yoga experience using specialized hammocks that enable your spirit to reach new limits.

i.d. gym is the only place in Chicago you’ll find this innovative class, which is a combination of traditional yoga techniques, acrobatics, gymnastics and dance. Using our silk hammocks you can move deeper into yoga postures, improve your balance and strength,  practice advanced inversions with ease, and even learn circus-style tricks.

"Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi, Fly Yoga allows you to go deeper into poses, relieve spinal compression and work on inversions that would otherwise be impossible," says Brent Holten, who's demonstrating the one-legged bow pose in the picture.

When to find Fly Yoga: 

  • Mondays, with Brent Holten, at 9 am or 6 pm
  • Wednesdays, with Brent Holten, at 9 am; with Dee Dee Knoche, at 6 pm
  • Saturdays, with Brent Holten, at 11 am
