The Perfect Workout: Wednesday
"The Perfect Workout" series helps you get the most out of i.d.'s group-fitness program, weight room and cardio equipment.
With this series, we propose workout routines for each day of the week. We've covered Mondays and Tuesday, so let's move on to wednesday. Wednesday is the favorite day for many of us -- it's called "hump day," after all -- so it's the perfect point in the week to maximize our workouts. Your work week may be A challenge, and the weekend is in sight, so now is the time to get the most out of our workouts.
The perfect morning workout
Arrive at i.d. gym at 6:30 am and stretch out your muscles in our training area.
Jump onto one of our Star Trac treadmills for a brisk run for a mile or two, and then give yourself another good stretch.
Head to KETTLEstrong at 7 am. Here, group-fitness instructor Rob Miller combines muscle-building workouts with cardio training in a high-intensity team atmosphere that will help you build a strong, lean and athletic body.
Stretch and cool down, hit the showers and off to work you go.
The perfect evening workout
Get to i.d. at 6 pm for the requisite stretch.
Warm up on one of our Star Trac treadmill for a one-mile run.
Go to our weight room to work out your chest, back, shoulders, arms, abs or legs with our array of free weights, dumbbells and Precor machines.
Join us at 7 pm for Insanity Workout, a 45-minute group-fitness class with Tim Iberle that's inspired by those exercise infomercials that air in the wee hours of the night. Our class, however, is the real deal -- and you'll leave it feeling strong and accomplished.
Stretch, cool down and call it a day!
