Functional Training, Group-Fitness Style!
You may already perform functional training exercises without even knowing it! If you take some of i.d.'s awesome group-fitness classes, you're incorporating functional exercises into your workouts.
Here's a rundown of classes that are based on functional training concepts:
Bootcamp. This classes interlaces strength training with plyometric drills for the most intense workout you've ever had. Saturdays at 11 am and Sundays at 12:30 pm.
Caveman Workout. The first workout known to man! Get primal with some tires, sledgehammers, heavy ropes or kettlebells for a high-intensity strength workout. Mondays at 5:15 pm and Sundays at 11 am.
Dancer's Body. Get a lean, strong body with this fusion of Pilates and Barre exercises. Target the hips, thighs, abs and butt for a killer workout that will leave you sore. Tuesdays at 6:30 am, Thursdays at 6:15 pm, Fridays at 9 am and Saturdays at 10 am.
Power Yoga. Every one of our yoga classes -- from Buff Yoga to Fly Yoga® -- are forms of functional training. In this extended class, we'll energize your body and relax your inner soul by blending together strength and flexibility training with athletic yoga movements and breathing. Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Tabata Circuit. Tabata training is centered on four minutes of intense interval training on each station of the circuit. For example, on a running station, you'll sprint as hard as you can for 20 seconds, walk for 10 seconds and for a total of 8 sets.Then, you'll move on to the next station. Mondays at 10 am.
